Good neighbors, great friends, delicious food, engaging activities, and tailored services—at Boardman Lake Glens, it all adds up to a wonderful community to call home.

Our Story

Our beautiful community, our caring staff, and the services we provide all revolve around our residents. Since 1997, we have been striving to provide a pleasant, safe, and engaging place to call home. Home is more than just a place to live. It’s the people around you every day that add so much to life. At Boardman Lake Glens, new neighbors become old friends sharing similar interests and goals. And staff members become trusted caregivers and confidants whom you can count on when you need a helping hand.

Social and Community

Staying active and sharing in recreational, educational, and cultural activities with good friends add so much to our lives. With our full-time calendar of planned activities and social events, there is always something going on at home or out and about for everyone’s enjoyment.

Financial Benefits

Owning and maintaining a home, paying property taxes and insurance, and getting the services you need can become prohibitively expensive for people on fixed incomes. At Boardman Lake Glens, we roll most of your expenses into one simple monthly payment that includes rent, utilities, services, activities, and care.

Our Staff

We’re extremely proud of our staff members-and with good reason. Every individual we hire is carefully screened and intensively trained to provide attentive, responsive service. Each staff member is trained in CPR, first aid, medication administration, and emergency procedures.

Nursing Staff

Boardman Lake Glens has professional staff on duty 24 hours per day. Our nursing staff is directed by a Registered Nurse who is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The nursing staff includes professionally trained nurse aids, all of whom are courteous and helpful.

Food & Beverage Staff

Our food service personnel include highly qualified chefs who plan menus, do the shopping, and prepare three delicious and nutritious meals for our residents each day. Our servers and kitchen staff make each meal at Boardman Lake Glens a friendly and enjoyable experience.

Housekeeping

Our dedicated, friendly housekeeping staff quickly become familiar faces who clean each apartment, provide linen services each week, and see to it that each residence at Boardman Lake Glens looks great and is squeaky clean. Their services are always a welcome delight.

Activities Director

Our Activities Director is energetic and creates a fun and entertaining environment enhanced by group activities and discussions, wellness training sessions, worship services, and many recreational events and outings. She also facilitates excursions using the Boardman Lake Glens van.

House Managers

Each of our three residences has a full-time house manager who keeps everything running smoothly and is available for residence tours, providing friendly assistance and helpful direction, and to answer any questions or needs that arise.

Administrator

Our Administrator manages all aspects of our community, mentors and supports the entire staff, and serves the residents of Boardman Lake Glens and the greater community. His goal is to ensure that all residents enjoy their homes and get the most out of the services they receive.

Our Location

Boardman Lake Glens provides the best of both worlds: a quiet location nestled on the shores of Boardman Lake plus all the recreational, educational, and cultural resources that Traverse City has to offer.

We are just minutes from downtown, with easy access to dining, shopping, services, and healthcare, including Munson Medical Center. The Cherry Capital has many places of worship and a wealth of cultural events and recreational activities.
